Press Release

Roman’s Holistic Dog Training is very happy to announce some exciting news about our friends at the Rogue Valley Humane Society, who we are assisting as part of our Strong Bond Project. Our mission with this project is to reduce the number of dogs killed in U.S. shelters by providing the training support and education needed to keep pets and families together.

The Rogue Valley Humane Society recently became a recipient of a large grant that will now allow them to improve on their dog training and adoption program. One of the ways they will use this grant to benefit the animals at RVHS is to form a more robust partnership with us here at Roman’s Holistic Dog Training. Through our online education and training videos, they are hoping to increase the dog training knowledge of their staff members and give them constant access to our expertise for the more difficult behavioral cases they encounter.

We will also be building a behavior- healing-workshop onsite where we can house and train their hardest behavioral cases one-on-one. This intensive training will allow scared, fractious, or aggressive dogs to unlearn problematic behaviors and be prepared for adoption. This proposed kennel is affectionately named “Manny’s Man Cave” as it is named after a Wheaten Terrier named Manny who has been with RVHS for the past year. Manny clearly experienced some intense trauma upon his arrival and while he has been improving, he will massively benefit from a stay with Roman to continue to reinforce his good behaviors. RVHS has entrusted this project to us because of our Body, Mind, and Spirit Training approach and our positive, force-free, and pain free behavior modification. For a sweet dog like Manny, who just needs a chance to learn how to be a normal dog after his rough beginnings, we believe this approach will improve his chances of finding a family to love him for the rest of his days.

We are excited to go on this journey with the staff at Rogue Valley Humane Society and help assist them with their dogs so that they can be adopted into loving forever homes.
