TERMS AND CONDITIONS
By booking an appointment or using Roman's Holistic Dog Training, LLC’s services, you represent that you have read and understand these Terms and Conditions, and agree to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions, including the policies referenced in these Terms, and as they may subsequently be amended.
INTRODUCTION
Training/Coaching involves helping clients modify patterns that are not working for them in order to help them become more successful in attaining their goals. Client is solely responsible for fully utilizing their training/coaching and staying in touch via phone and email. To ensure a successful behavior transformation, sessions should be booked every 5-7 days, but not more than 10 days apart and are subject to the refund terms below.
Training is a two-way communication that involves client participation and commitment.
These Terms and Conditions are in place out of respect for our dogs, therapy dogs, and our clients who are on our waiting list. Cancellations with less than 24-hours notice are difficult to fill. By giving last minute notice or no notice at all, you prevent someone else from being able to schedule into that time slot.

Initial Appointment
Roman's Holistic Dog Training, LLC coaching programs are designed to help you reach your dog’s full potential. Individual results will vary depending on the animal and if you adhere to the homework given during the training and described in these Terms and Conditions.
Packages (NOT including healing or discounted packages): If both Parties are not satisfied with the way the initial training session (In person or online) worked, client can request a full refund in writing up to 7 days after the date of the Initial Appointment and prior to booking a subsequent appointment. Travel expenses are NOT refundable.
No refund for healing sessions regardless of when they are canceled.
If either party wishes to cancel the coaching Agreement, a seven-day written notice by electronic mail sent to roman@holisticdogtraining.org will be required. Cancellation will not be effective if sent in any other manner such as text, instant message, Skype or other electronic messages.
PAYMENTS
Payment is required at the time a service is booked and in advance of provision of any services. Individual payment plans are available upon request for an additional one time $15 processing fee per payment plan.
Signatures are needed to start a contract; however, email or other electronic exchanges shall be legally binding and constitute your signature and permission to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and any other terms included in our written communication to engage Roman’s Holistic Dog Training LLC’s services.
For coaching phone calls, webinars, and online classes, Roman's Holistic Dog Training, LLC is responsible for the cost of the teleconference line and webinar platform. Each client must bear their own telephone, utility and/or Wi-Fi expense in order to call into the conference line. The client also agrees NOT to give the Roman's Holistic Dog Training, LLC access numbers or other course information to anyone not enrolled in said course.
Copies of recorded video consultation can be purchased for the price quoted when the client schedules the session.
CANCELLATIONS OF APPOINTMENTS
Roman’s Holistic Dog Training, LLC has a 24 hour cancellation / rescheduling policy. Please provide notice of cancellation as soon as possible as it is difficult to schedule new appointments with less than 24 hours of notice, and prevents others who need my services from getting the training they need.
If you miss your appointment, cancel or change your appointment with less than 12 hours notice, you will be charged the full price for the particular type of appointment and will not receive a refund.
If you cancel or change your appointment with less than 24 hours notice, you will be charged 50% of the value of your appointment.
PROGRAM REFUND and CANCELLATION POLICY
Mentoring/Coaching packages (for trainers) are charged at a discounted hourly rate. If at any point, for any reason, coaching is discontinued, client's refund will be calculated as follows: The hours that client has used will be charged at the a la carte rate of $120/hr. Roman's Holistic Dog Training, LLC will log hours as they are used.
How Roman's Holistic Dog Training, LLC Training/Mentoring Package works:
Initial Appointment. The initial scheduled appointment will be at least forty-five (45) minutes. It will consist of assessing the client's situation and setting long and short-term goals, and creating a working plan.
Coaching is delivered either in person at clients agreed location, on the phone, via video conference, email, or text.
Both parties agree not to multi-task during phone coaching and focus on the coaching.
Packages. Training sessions from packages MUST be booked in 5-10 Days intervals from each session and all training sessions must occur and be completed within 60 Days for the Initial Appointment.
A refund will only be provided AFTER the Initial Appointment and BEFORE the second training session is scheduled. There are NO refunds once the second training session is booked and the cancellation policy described in these Terms applies.
If subsequent sessions are not scheduled within 30 days from the Initial Appointment, then there is no refund of any fees paid.
Communication is essential to successful training.
UNUSED TRAINING SESSIONS
Remaining in-person sessions of a package will be automatically converted into online training consultations if not used within 60 days from the date of purchase. These sessions MUST be scheduled and completed within 30 days from the date of conversion.
HOMEWORK
Clients receive weekly assignments to help attain their goals. Client is responsible for emailing or uploading the assignments into their dedicated homework folder. If the assignment is too difficult, it can be modified. Coaching works best when small successes are attained towards your goal each week.
Each coaching session is designed to build upon the last one.
Romans Holistic Dog Training coach's job is to support clients as they work to attain their goals.
Client must set aside a sufficient amount of dedicated time to train their pet(s), at least 10-20 minutes a day. It is the client's sole responsibility to stick to the program, fill out the progress forms, do their assigned homework with their pet and keep appointments.
Training coaching includes, among other things, education about nutrition and diet, exercise, animal care, learning to be a responsible care provider, and how to keep a healthy and balanced Human/Animal relationship. This includes pointing out systemic issues, health concerns, and nutritional advice but is not a substitute for professional advice as described in the Disclaimer below.
The best and preferred method of communication is by email. Documents and videos can be uploaded to the clients dedicated online homework folder.
Roman’s Holistic Dog Training, LLC shall not be held responsible for spelling mistakes or typing errors to any documents.
CONFIDENTIALITY
Client's confidential information is taken seriously. All conversations and personal information between clients and Roman's Holistic Dog Training, LLC shall be held in confidence.
Roman's Holistic Dog Training, LLC does not share mailing lists or any other client information with anyone; however, you understand and agree general information on cases may be shared in future trainings without revealing your personal information.
When participating in a coaching conference call, webinar, seminar, workshop, blog, or other group activity, client shall keep all personal details about other participants confidential and not share such information with others verbally, in writing or on social media.
If a client wants and agrees to include a veterinarian, dog handler, therapist, or any other person to interact with Roman's Holistic Dog Training, LLC, written permission is required.
If Roman's Holistic Dog Training, LLC interacts with other people on client's behalf (vets, significant others, etc.), this time is logged and deducted from coaching time allotted.
Client agrees to also keep Roman's Holistic Dog Training, LLC training methods confidential and not share this information without the express written consent of Roman's Holistic Dog Training, LLC. Sharing proprietary training methods in any manner without consent may result in Roman's Holistic Dog Training, LLC seeking monetary damages against you.
Any and all written material, including written material in any format, including electronic format, including, but not limited to, email, text messages, handouts, questionnaires, ebooks, etc. is the copyrighted property of Roman's Holistic Dog Training, LLC or as stated on the documents. Title, ownership rights, and intellectual property rights in and to the copyrighted material shall remain the property of Roman's Holistic Dog Training, LLC. Such material is protected by the copyright laws of the United States and international copyright treaties. You may not reproduce or share any written material that you receive without Roman's Holistic Dog Training, LLC’s express written permission.
Any and all recorded material and media such as video meetings, video products, mp4s, etc. is the copyrighted property of Roman's Holistic Dog Training, LLC. Title, ownership rights, and intellectual property rights in and to the copyrighted material shall remain the property of Roman's Holistic Dog Training, LLC. Such material is protected by the copyright laws of the United States and international copyright treaties. You may not reproduce or share any recorded material or media that you receive without Roman's Holistic Dog Training, LLC’s express written permission.
DISCLAIMER
The services provided include dog training and coaching, to be used to help you modify certain patterns that have been unsuccessful for you and your dog(s) in the past. It is not intended to be psychotherapy, psychological counseling, medical, physical therapy or any type of therapy for either you or your dog(s). The information contained in or made available through “Roman’s Holistic Dog Training” services or products cannot and is not intended to replace or substitute for the services of a trained professionals in any field, including, but not limited to, veterinarian, psychological, financial, medical, or legal matters. In particular, you should regularly consult a veterinarian in all matters relating to your dog's physical or mental health, particularly concerning any symptoms that may require diagnosis or medical attention.
Roman's Holistic Dog Training, LLC, and our licensors or suppliers make no representations or warranties concerning any treatment, action, or application of medication or preparation by any person following the information offered or provided herein. Neither Roman Gottfried nor our associates, or any of their affiliates, will be liable for any direct, indirect, consequential, special, exemplary or other damages that may result, including but not limited to economic loss, injury, illness or death.
ALTERNATIVE DISPUTE RESOLUTION
Parties agree to engage in mediation in order to settle any dispute. If the parties cannot agree to a settlement through mediation, then all disputes shall be arbitrated under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, before a single arbiter, as the parties’ sole and only remedy to the dispute. The decision of the arbiter shall be final and may be entered by a Court of competent jurisdiction as final judgment. Any arbitration will be held in Eugene, Oregon. The prevailing Party may be entitled to reasonable attorneys' fees, which may be set by the arbiter in the same action or in a separate action brought for that purpose, in addition to any other relief to which that Party may be entitled.
ENFORCEMENT
Governing Law: This Declaration and any of its terms or provisions, as well as the rights and duties of the parties under this Declaration, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Oregon.
WAIVER
No waiver of any breach of any provision of this Declaration will constitute a waiver of any prior, concurrent or subsequent breach and no waiver will be effective unless made in writing.
